Since we already covered some musical annotations from the current president of the US, Barack Obama, as well as one of the Republican hopefuls, Mitt Romney, we couldn’t leave out one of the other main runners for the Republican candidacy: Rick Santorum. A video has gone viral some time ago that shows two girls expressing their love for Rick Santorum’s policies – through song.

The video really shows that the whole family is supportive of Santorum, the ‘band’ is led by the father of the household: a pastor and father of eight kids. Like Santorum, the family is mostly home-schooled although the children also spent some time in Christian schools. They also travelled as the parents were missionaries in Latin America and Africa for some time. The girls’ singing career started – where else? – in church. (The First Love Band’s website.)
For Santorum it is a song about his political viewpoints but for Obama a girl made a video that was a downright declaration of love for the person himself. (View it here.) It makes us wonder what Newt Gingrich will inspire his followers to sing.
